Ethanol Blends and E85: In Indiana and Across the Nation

With over 144 E85 stations in Indiana, and more on the way, and the US EPA’s announcement, this week, that Growth Energy was successful in convincing them to approve the use of up to an E15 blend in 2007 model year vehicles, or newer. Bryan Christjansen, POET, and a Growth Energy Board Member, will discuss the benefits of this as well as other recent advancements in the Ethanol industry.

Eco-Car Student Competition Sponsored by DOE Clean Cities Program and GM Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), General Motors (GM) and others, Eco CAR 2 is North America’s Premier Collegiate Automotive Engineering Competition Series. Beginning in Academic Year 2011, Eco CAR 2 will build upon the 22-year history of DOE Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions (AVTC) and seeks to develop the next generation of automotive engineers with unparalleled experience designing, building, promoting and demonstrating advanced vehicle technologies.  Rose Hulman Engineering Students and ISU Communication students will tell us about the program and how Clean Cities is involved.  Worth getting up for this new program and our Coalitions involvement for 2011!

PROPANE/AutoGas: Infrastructure and Vehicles for your Fleet:  In Europe, AutoGas vehicles and fueling infrastructure is common place.  Alternative fuel vehicle deployment, across the fuel arenas, is expanding.  Across America, more and more fleets and consumers are obtaining access to AutoGas .

 

 

Clean Start Program USA AutoGas Program Overview: Clean Fuel USA received a Department of Energy grant with Texas State Technical College to develop alternative fuel propane AutoGas refueling stations and alternative fuel service centers in select US metropolitan markets.  Central Indiana is one of those markets, Steve Richardson, Public Solutions Group, will fill us in on the details and how service technicians can be trained to work on propane vehicle technologies, in our area.

Compressed Natural Gas as A Transportation Fuel; Its usage is expanding across the nation, and Indiana is holding its own.  By September, 2011, Indiana will boast I65 as a CNG corridor, with public sites at Fair Oaks, Indianapolis, and Sellersburg exits, making CNG a viable fleet application from Chicago to Kentucky!  Here from infrastructure and vehicle technology providers on options you need to consider when looking at CNG as a transportation fuel and learn about CNG fleet projects underway in Indiana today as well as 2011 funding opportunities for project!!

 

Natural Gas Infrastructure: Building a Station to Grow with your Fleet
